Never forget India

Show all 20 days away

In the afternoon of July 18, 2012, the sun was still burning in Guangzhou. At the gate, I saw all the planes coming, but there was heavy rain, lightning and thunder --- the plane was delayed for 3 hours.        When I was waiting in line to check in my boarding pass, I was already excited to see brother A-San, but with a little fear of strangeness. What kind of excitement should that be?        Three Kingdoms, I   am   coming~~

Indira International Airport, Gandhi, Delhi, India

The purpose of my visit is to be a volunteer, with travel. When I got to the airport, someone should have contacted me to get my residence, but because the plane was late, it was already 12 a.m. after finishing all the immigration procedures. We had to find a few seats, find a good charging power, take turns sleeping, take turns supervising luggage.         Sleeping next to me was a little Japanese girl. The next morning, she had to drive to the birthplace of yoga, rishikas, to practice yoga.

At seven the next morning, the driver arranged by AIESEC came to pick us up! In the same car were a Chinese and two women from Barcelona, Spain.

The driver was waiting at the gate of the airport with A4 paper with our name and address written in fluorescent pen.        After waiting for the people to be picked up, the driver pulled us to their respective houses one by one. In fact, we all live close to each other, all in East   of   Kailash------Kailash   Hills。        The driver is also very conscientious. Along the way, he introduces us to the scenery of Delhi and the culture of India. It's just that I haven't adapted to Indian English.

Finally meet Tuktuk, also known as auto, or riksha.

Bus stops in Delhi

Along the way, the driver honked his horn n times, and the car swayed left and right. There were cars, buses, motorcycles and three wheels on the road. Crackling, the chaotic road can only prove that the driver's technology is good!

We have not been assigned work for the time being, so we have to have fun for the time being!        Go as long as you have money and strategies. Even if there is no map, you have to believe that India's auto is almost omnipotent!

There are women's cars on the subway (PS, there are too many men)

In fact, the red fort is not well preserved. It is not much different from the architectural style of Agra Fort, and it does not have the style of Agra Fort. People who go to India usually go to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, so it's enough to stop by Agra Fort at that time. Red Castle can be exempted.

Derrimen in the Red Castle is still very impressive!

Connaught square has a wide range of stores to meet your needs, including famous brand clothing, dishes from all over the world, Indian restaurants, post offices, travel agencies, sari shops. It's just that the price is more expensive.        But it is a three concentric structure, and people without a sense of direction may be wronged.

After a few days in India, I really couldn't get used to it because I didn't find any delicious Indian food.              In fact, later, I became more and more cold to Indian food. It was so delicious! Thali, Lassi, and all kinds of masala mutton and chicken are delicious.         But early did not find delicious, or can not help but go to a good cool Chinese food! The price is reasonable, with an average of more than 30 yuan per person. In India, this level of consumption is already a luxury!

Humayong mausoleum is very beautiful. Apart from the main tomb, the buildings beside it are all broken walls. There is also a kind of desolation that the swallow in front of the old Wang Xie hall flies into the common people's home. This mausoleum is the mausoleum of Humayun, the son of the founder of Mughal Empire, and his royal concubine. It is a typical combination of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles

Gutibuta, also known as kudubuta, is located in Delhi, India. It is the tallest building in Delhi and the tallest brick minaret in the world. It is known as one of the seven wonders of India. It was founded in 1193 by kutbuddin aiyibak, the first Muslim ruler of India and the founder of the Sultanate of Delhi.

The tower is divided into five floors, each with a prominent balcony.        The first three floors are made of red sandstone. The fourth and fifth floors are made of marble and sandstone. The interior of the tower is decorated with beautiful murals and engraved with scriptures from the Koran.         There are stone steps in the tower circling up to the top floor.

After two turns in Delhi, I finally began to be assigned to work! When we go to shelter, we should first take auto from our residence, then take the subway, and then do auto. If we don't want to have another section, we should take a rickshaw! After a lot of hard work, it's finally here!

Today's shift, you can go out for a stroll around other attractions in Delhi. Today's target is the presidential palace and the Lotus Temple.

On King's road, on both sides of the presidential palace are the Foreign Ministry building and the Ministry of Finance building.

Rajpath, King's Road   Road

We wanted to go up for a walk, but after all, there was a tight guard here. Many policemen were armed and drove us down from the open platform on the second floor of a building. It's clean here, not general.

LOTUS   Temple is the Lingxi Hall of Bahai or Bahai religion. The appearance of the pure white lotus architecture is fully explained here. You need slippers to enter the Lotus Temple. You can't make any noise inside. There are many seats inside. All religious believers are welcome to meditate inside.

Two and a half kilometers northwest of the Taj Mahal, it is one of the three red fort in India (the other two are Delhi Red Fort and fadipur hickley). It was listed as a world heritage site in 1983. The gates and walls were built by Akbar the great, combining the architectural styles of India and Central Asia.

One of the most famous monuments in India, located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is a mausoleum built by Shah Jahan, the fifth generation of Mughal emperor, in memory of the late queen Jiman Banu. It was completed in 1654.

The provincial capital of Rajasthan. There are many famous scenic spots, and the consumption level is lower than that of Delhi.

When we got to the old Delhi railway station, we endured all kinds of smell and feces, but I was not surprised. When we got on the train, four of us slept in a box with two Czech couples, but six Indian women occupied the position of the four of us. We quarreled with them for a long time, but they refused to come down. Later, we found other Indian English speaking people to translate and understand! Finally, our tough attitude drove them away! Although the train condition is very bad, but in fact it's OK, at least there won't be any personal safety concerns here! I should be able to do it alone! Hee hee. I went to sleep... Goodbye, see you tomorrow in Jaipur, beautiful pink city!

The front of the wind palace is a wall. You have to go through the back door. Built in 1799, designed by LAL chande Ustad. Its unique appearance has 953 small windows, similar to a beehive. The original intention of this design is to let the concubines watch the street below, and not be seen by outsiders, because they must strictly abide by the rules of masked.

Just arrived at Jaipur, it was more than 4 a.m. when we got out of the railway station at dawn, we went to the hotel and fell asleep immediately

There is a joke circulating in AIESEC in Delhi. A German guy has a bad temper and often gets rough when things go wrong. So, came to Jaipur, it is estimated that pink deceived his feelings. When he got to the old city, he said, "what!!??   This   is   PINK!!??   It's   SHIT   BROWN!!!!!!"

Through a comfortable station, clean and comfortable

At the midway station, a Canadian woman just sat next to me (in fact, in India, foreigners are usually arranged to sit together by train). She went to udaip, too, alone. I'll take advantage of the fire and clean her up. We'll go to the town tomorrow.

I packed up my things and left them at the front desk, so I went out.        I found that I really don't understand the direction, and I don't know why I have to charge for my mobile compass. I really can't find the North! So ask people, give me the wrong direction, hurt me to go for a while! Later, I thought it was quite far away, and at least I could recognize the direction by car, so I went to auto to get there. Auto can't get to the lake area, I have to walk. When I arrived, she didn't arrive, because she came on foot. I sat down and looked at the dining card. I enjoyed the pichula lake view from the balcony. The lake water in the main scenic spot is quite clean, but our bridge is very dirty. But in India, you have to practice the ability of ignoring ugliness and paying attention to beautiful scenery!

The city of blue is not as blue as I thought, a little disappointed. Blue is said to repel mosquitoes. Fort melangar is built on the top of the mountain. I believe that you can see it from roof no matter where you live in Jodhpur.

Melangar castle stands on the top of a 125 meter mountain. The yellow sandstone city wall more than 30 meters high plunges into the blue sky. Its foundation is integrated with the mountain. The close color makes people feel that the castle grows directly from the rock.

A part of the old fort of melangar is set up as a museum for tourists to visit, which displays many historical relics such as ancient Indian guns, weapons, flags, royal throne, elephant sedan chair, carpets, murals and so on. There are several Hindu temples in the castle, one of which is dedicated to chamunda   Devi   Temple, the temple with the largest number of worshippers, is also the best preserved one. There are many salesmen in the castle. The melodious drums and sad tunes make the castle mysterious and romantic.

Amritsar is the birthplace of Sikhism, which can be said to be the combination of Islam and Hinduism. Sikh men need hair, including hair and beard. But there are not many beards. It's the tradition of hair growing that has been preserved. The education level of Sikhs is relatively high. The whole city is very stable and peaceful.

Varanasi, the city of Shiva, is also considered a Hindu holy land. Varanasi is built along the broad Ganges River, and the holy water of Ganges River is the most important reason for Hindus to come to pilgrimage.
